"Spice it Up" Video Series
Join us for this 5-part video Series, "Spice it Up," as Valley Health Foundation CEO, Michael Elliott, shares the hot seat with local leaders. Together, they explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the health of our community - one spicy question at a time. Get your milk ready, because it’s about to get spicy!
Thank you for tuning in to our Spice It Up series, and for helping us exceed our Giving Tuesday goal, raising over $40,000! We’re so grateful for everyone who showed up, shared the heat, and supported our public hospitals with so much heart.
Episode 3: For the final episode of “Spice It Up” - we’re going out with a bang! Dr. Praveen Anchala, Head of Radiology, joins Michael to talk about life as a radiologist, why he chose Santa Clara Valley Healthcare, and some jaw-dropping moments from the job. Dr. Anchala faces the final spice showdown - and it’s one for the books.
Episode I: Michael kicks things off with Betty Duong, County Supervisor for District 2. As the sauces get hotter, so do the questions: Betty opens up about her experience as the daughter of Vietnamese refugees, her deep ties to the community she now serves, and what Measure A means for the future of local policy. It’s heartfelt, it’s spicy, and it’s not for the faint of palate.
Episode 2: In this episode, Michael and Dr. Rudman discuss health misinformation, the role of a County Health Officer, and her hopes and dreams for our public health - all over some spicy sauces.
Intro video: Join Michael as he interviews leading county health figures, turning up the heat with each episode by challenging them to progressively spicier levels of hot sauce.
